Class and workshops

Our spring and fall session run monthly. This gives families flexibility with class as we all know too well how homeschooling can change from season to season and even month to month. Each month we wander through a specific theme that helps guide our learning to a deeper understanding of that subject interweaving our foundations of gardening and creative making.
A typical class will begin with circle time where we all gather and share show and tell, followed by a book and/or poem relating to our work that day. Then we head to the garden to plant or weed or simply check on the things that are growing. Incorporating these sometimes repetitive garden tasks are important for instilling the true ongoing work of gardening in our daily lives. We might move on from there with a small break for free play so real relationships can happen followed by lunch then onto an art project. All art mediums are explored throughout our Spring and Fall year so there is never a dull moment where creativity is concerned.

Seeds and digital resources are included!

We are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe and also enrich each others lives. We are fortunate in that we meet outside in the open air so risk is minimized. Therefore masks are not required but welcome. Our classes are also at half size to keep distancing possible. In addition we also have hand sanitizer and hand washing available at all times and encourage everyone to practice hand washing at the beginning and throughout class.

QUESTION 3 // How are you handling social distancing?

We ask that your child brings a healthy sack lunch so we can eat together and also a refillable water bottle. If bug spray is needed, please pack that as well although we always have some essential oil based spray available.

QUESTION 2 // Does my child need to bring anything?

For children 5 and over you are more than welcome to drop off your child! Many parents also choose to stay and use the time to connect and collaborate with other like-minded moms. Or bring a book and enjoy putting your feet up! You are free to come one day and drop off another as well!
